This site began with a simple frustration. Almost everything written about family life was either too preachy, too fake, or both. So we started writing the version we actually wanted to read.
What we are not
Therapists, experts, an authority of any kind. We are ordinary people who have lived the real, messy reality of marriage and parenting, and learned a few things worth handing on.
What we believe
That there is no correct shape for a family. That the warmth lives in small, everyday moments rather than big occasions. That nobody, truly nobody, has it all figured out, and pretending otherwise helps no one.
What you will find here
Plain writing, a little warmth, and no perfect families. Just thoughts worth trying, from people still working it out themselves, offered in the hope that something here makes an ordinary evening a little better.
